From Humble Beginnings
What started as a dream in 2018 has grown into a passionate pursuit of coffee excellence.
Ember & Oak Coffee Co. was born from a simple belief: that great coffee has the power to bring people together, create moments of joy, and fuel meaningful connections. Our founders, Sarah and Michael, began their journey after falling in love with the art and science of coffee roasting during their travels through Central America.
Returning home with a deep appreciation for the craft, they set up their first small roastery in a converted garage. What began as weekend experiments with different roasting profiles soon evolved into something much bigger – a commitment to sourcing the finest beans and roasting them to perfection.
Today, we're proud to serve our community with carefully crafted coffee that honors both tradition and innovation. Every cup tells a story, and we're here to help you discover yours.

The Beginning
Sarah and Michael start roasting coffee in their garage, experimenting with different beans and techniques.
2019
First Retail Location
Opened our first café in downtown, serving locally roasted coffee to the community.
2020
Online Expansion
Launched our online store, bringing freshly roasted coffee directly to customers' homes.
2021
Direct Trade Partnerships
Established direct relationships with coffee farms in Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Colombia.
2022
Award Recognition
Won "Best Local Roaster" award and expanded to three locations across the city.
2023-Present
Sustainable Future
Launched our sustainability initiative and opened our flagship roastery with café and tasting room.
